Connecting with New Audiences - Smart Museums in Smart Cities
Museums increasingly have to reach out to new audiences. Smart cities offer opportunities for museums to engage as smart museums in a larger ecosystem. Various stakeholders contribute to enabling citizens and tourists to access culture in an active and participatory way with digital and location-based means. But how can these diverse stakeholders cooperate from a municipal, cultural and commercial point of view? This presentation will highlight initiatives that integrate eCulture into smart city models from a content, business and communication point of view. A special focus will be on the integration of cultural content into smart cities services, especially for tourists and citizens.
